· OPERATING RULES OF LAICHTER HOUSE ·

These operating rules (hereinafter also the “Operating Rules”) are binding on all persons entering and moving within the shared historic premises of Laichter House (hereinafter also the “Visitor”).

· 1. INTRODUCTORY PROVISIONS ·

1.1. These Operating Rules constitute the basic binding rules that every Visitor is obliged to observe in the shared historic premises of Laichter House at Chopinova 1543/4, Vinohrady, 120 00 Prague 2 (hereinafter also the “House”).

1.2. The shared historic premises of the House mean the writing room, archive, historic rooms, washrooms and reading rooms, including adjoining rooms, and the common corridors of the House necessary for access to the aforementioned parts of the House, as shown in the floor plans forming Annex No. 1 to these Operating Rules (hereinafter also the “Premises”).

1.3. These Operating Rules are issued by Nadační fond Laichterův dům (Laichter House Foundation Fund), with its registered office at Chopinova 1543/4, Vinohrady, 120 00 Prague 2, ID No.: 199 69 171, registered in the foundation register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague under file no. N 2395 (hereinafter also the “Foundation Fund”), which is also the administrator and operator of the Premises. 1.4. A Visitor is considered to be, in particular, any person who enters the Premises and moves within them in connection with the activities of the Foundation Fund or any event held in the Premises, regardless of whether such event is organized by the Foundation Fund or by a third party on the basis of authorization granted by the Foundation Fund, as well as any person entering the Premises on the instructions of the Foundation Fund, on the basis of a contractual or other legal relationship with the Foundation Fund or with a person authorized to use the Premises, in particular event organizers, performers, service providers, members of technical staff, catering companies and persons authorized by them.

1.5. The Visitor acknowledges that the House is a registered cultural monument within the meaning of the applicable legislation and as such enjoys special protection. The Visitor is obliged to respect the historic, cultural and social value of the House, including the Premises and their furnishings, and to exercise increased caution when entering the House and the Premises and throughout their stay therein. In particular, the Visitor is obliged to refrain from any conduct that could lead to damage, deterioration, soiling, unauthorized handling or any other adverse interference with the House, the Premises, their furnishings, artistic, historic or architectural elements or other values protected within the House and the Premises.

· 2. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO THE PREMISES ·

2.1. Entry to the Premises is possible only with the prior consent of the Foundation Fund or a person authorized by it. The Visitor enters the Premises at their own risk. The Visitor is not authorized to enter, move within or remain in any parts of the House other than the Premises, unless the Foundation Fund or a person authorized by it grants consent to do so.

2.2. Entry to the Premises is prohibited for persons under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating or addictive substances, in heavily soiled clothing or in a condition that could pose a threat or unreasonable disturbance to other Visitors or a threat to the House, the Premises, their furnishings or other historic, cultural or architectural values located in the House and the Premises. Persons under 15 years of age must be accompanied throughout their stay in the Premises by a person supervising them.

2.3. The Visitor has no legal entitlement to enter the Premises. The Foundation Fund or a person authorized by it is entitled at any time, even without stating a reason, to deny the Visitor entry to the Premises, prevent the Visitor from staying in the Premises or expel the Visitor from the Premises. The Foundation Fund or a person authorized by it is further entitled at any time, even without stating a reason, to temporarily close the Premises or any part thereof.

2.4. The Visitor is obliged to comply with these Operating Rules and all instructions of the Foundation Fund or persons authorized by it. The Foundation Fund or a person authorized by it is entitled to expel from the Premises any Visitor who breaches these Operating Rules, the applicable legislation or the instructions of the Foundation Fund or persons authorized by it.

2.5. With regard to safety, the protection of the House and the Premises or the fulfilment of obligations arising from the applicable legislation, the Foundation Fund or a person authorized by it is entitled to temporarily limit the number of persons present in the Premises or any part thereof. The Visitor is obliged to observe all capacity and safety options and restrictions applicable to the Premises and to follow the instructions issued by the Foundation Fund or persons authorized by it for the purpose of ensuring compliance with them.

2.6. By entering the Premises, the Visitor grants the Foundation Fund consent to capture and further disseminate the Visitor’s likeness in photographs and video recordings made for the purpose of providing information about the activities of the Foundation Fund and events taking place in the Premises. Granting this consent is not a condition of entry to the Premises. If the Visitor does not agree to the capture of their likeness, they are entitled to notify the Foundation Fund of this fact in advance by e-mail sent to dobry.den@laichter.house and also always in person, before entering the Premises, to a person authorized by the Foundation Fund.

2.7. The Visitor acknowledges that photographs and video recordings made by the Foundation Fund pursuant to Section 2.6 of these Operating Rules constitute a one-time record of the course of individual events held in the Premises. These photographs and video recordings are not intended primarily to capture or identify individual persons, but to capture the Premises, their atmosphere and the course of the relevant event. Photographs and video recordings are not made for the purpose of systematically monitoring persons. Thus, within the primary purpose of taking photographs and video recordings, the Foundation Fund does not carry out automated or partially automated processing of personal data, nor are such data entered or organized in a filing system of persons, and this therefore does not constitute processing of personal data within the meaning of Article 2 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter also the “GDPR”).

2.8. If photographs or video recordings were to be further used by the Foundation Fund in a manner that constitutes processing of personal data within the meaning of the GDPR, in particular for the purpose of protecting the property of the Foundation Fund, protecting persons located in the House or the Premises or monitoring compliance with these Operating Rules, the Foundation Fund will carry out such processing in accordance with the applicable legislation. · 3. RULES OF CONDUCT IN THE PREMISES ·

3.1. When entering the Premises and throughout their stay therein, the Visitor is obliged to exercise increased caution, behave considerately towards other visitors and other persons present in the Premises or the House, and refrain from any conduct that could interfere with their rights, legitimate interests, safety or undisturbed use of the Premises or the House.

3.2. The Visitor is obliged to refrain from any conduct that could disturb, inconvenience or otherwise restrict other visitors, other users of the Premises or the House, the Foundation Fund, the event organizer, the owner of the House or other persons present in the House, or prevent them from properly using the Premises or the House.

3.3. If the Visitor discovers any damage, defect or other deficiency relating to the House, the Premises or their furnishings, in particular one that may endanger the safety of persons or property, they are obliged to report this fact immediately to the Foundation Fund or a person authorized by it. The Visitor has the same obligation if they cause such damage or defect themselves.

3.4. Visitors are entitled to take photographs and video recordings in the Premises exclusively for their personal use and for non-commercial purposes. Taking photographs or video recordings for the purpose of commercial use, promotion, marketing, media presentation or other similar use is prohibited without the prior written consent of the Foundation Fund or a person authorized by it.

3.5. It is prohibited in the Premises and the House to:

(i) damage, deteriorate or otherwise adversely interfere with the Premises, the House or their furnishings,

(ii) make any alterations to the Premises, the House or their furnishings, leave any objects in them, including decorations, ornamentation, posters, advertising materials or other similar elements, or install, place or affix such objects,

(iii) enter non-public, reserved or otherwise restricted areas that are not intended for Visitors or whose use requires the consent of the Foundation Fund or a person authorized by it, in particular if they are locked, otherwise inaccessible or designated as areas with restricted access, as well as other parts of the House that do not form part of the Premises,

(iv) enter or move within the Premises with oversized luggage or objects that may pose an increased risk to the Premises, the House or their furnishings,

(v) enter the Premises with animals, with the exception of assistance and service dogs,

(vi) consume food or beverages in the Premises outside places designated by the Foundation Fund or a person authorized by it,

(vii) enter or move within the Premises on bicycles, roller skates, skateboards, scooters or similar means of transport, with the exception of mobility aids and children’s pushchairs, where the nature of the specific premises allows,

(viii) handle historic furnishings of the Premises or the House, books, archival materials, exhibits, technical equipment or other objects located in the Premises or the House, unless expressly stated otherwise,

(ix) handle the technical, safety, fire-protection or security systems or equipment of the House or the Premises,

(x) smoke, use electronic cigarettes or similar devices, or handle open flames anywhere in the House or the Premises,

(xi) enter the Premises or the House in inappropriate footwear, in particular footwear that could damage the Premises or the House or endanger the safety of the Visitor or other persons, especially shoes with high heels or slippery soles,

(xii) enter or move within the Premises or the House with firearms, cutting or stabbing weapons, explosives, hazardous substances or other objects that may pose an increased risk of damage to the House, the Premises or their furnishings or injury to persons,

(xiii) soil the Premises, the House, their furnishings or the surroundings.

3.6. The Visitor is liable for all harm caused by them in the Premises or the House, in particular harm caused to the House, the Premises, their furnishings or other property of the Foundation Fund, the owner of the House, other visitors or other persons. The Visitor is also liable for all harm arising as a result of a breach of these Operating Rules, the applicable legislation or the instructions of the Foundation Fund or persons authorized by it.

3.7. The Foundation Fund is not liable for the loss, theft, destruction of or damage to items brought by the Visitor into the Premises or the House, unless such harm was directly caused by the Foundation Fund or a person for whom the Foundation Fund is responsible.

3.8. If the Foundation Fund is the organizer of an event held in the Premises, the Foundation Fund or a person authorized by it will designate within the Premises a place intended for the storage of Visitors’ belongings, which will be visibly marked or specified by the instructions of a person authorized by the Foundation Fund. These will typically include coats, jackets and other outerwear, backpacks, bags and other small items of luggage. In such a case, the Foundation Fund is liable for the loss, theft, destruction of or damage to such items left by the Visitor exclusively in the place designated for that purpose by the Foundation Fund or a person authorized by it. The Foundation Fund is not liable for items left outside the place so designated.

3.9. The Visitor is not authorized to bring into the Premises or the House larger amounts of cash, jewellery, valuables or other items of extraordinary value that are not ordinary items of everyday use. If the Visitor brings such items into the Premises or the House, they do so exclusively at their own responsibility and risk. The Foundation Fund is not liable for the loss, theft, destruction of or damage to such items, even if they were left in a place designated by the Foundation Fund or a person authorized by it. If the Visitor informs a person authorized by the Foundation Fund that they have such items with them, or if the authorized person discovers this otherwise, the Foundation Fund or the person authorized by it is entitled to instruct the Visitor to remove them from the Premises or the House without delay.

3.10. The Visitor is obliged to comply with all legislation, safety rules and instructions of the Foundation Fund or persons authorized by it concerning fire protection and fire safety in the House and the Premises.

3.11. The Premises and the immediate surroundings of the House may be monitored by a camera system for the purpose of protecting property, the life and health of persons and other legitimate interests of the Foundation Fund. · 4. FINAL PROVISIONS ·

4.1. These Operating Rules are binding on every Visitor from the moment a contractual relationship is concluded between the Foundation Fund and the Visitor in connection with the Visitor’s participation in an event organized by the Foundation Fund, but no later than from the moment the Visitor enters the House or the Premises.

4.2. These Operating Rules are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, in particular Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, as amended.

4.3. The current wording of the Operating Rules is published on the Foundation Fund’s website and is also made available at the entrance to the House or the Premises. If a Visitor participates in an event organized directly by the Foundation Fund, the current wording of the Operating Rules also forms part of the contractual relationship between the Visitor and the Foundation Fund arising in connection with registration or enrolment for participation in such event or the purchase of a ticket for such event.

4.4. The Foundation Fund is entitled to amend these Operating Rules unilaterally at any time. If the Operating Rules are amended after the conclusion of a contractual relationship between the Visitor and the Foundation Fund for participation in an event organized by the Foundation Fund, the Foundation Fund will inform the Visitor of such amendment by sending a notice to the Visitor’s contact e-mail address at least seventy-two (72) hours before the relevant event. If the Visitor does not agree with the amendment to the Operating Rules, they are entitled to withdraw from the contractual relationship for participation in the relevant event by delivering a notice to the Foundation Fund’s contact e-mail address lars@laichter.house within five (5) business days of the Foundation Fund sending the notice, but in any event no later than twenty-four (24) hours before the relevant event.

4.5. If any provision of these Operating Rules proves to be invalid, ineffective, apparent or unenforceable, this does not affect the validity, effectiveness or enforceability of the remaining provisions of these Operating Rules. In such a case, the Foundation Fund is entitled to unilaterally replace the affected provision with a new provision whose purpose and meaning correspond as closely as possible to the original provision.

4.6. All disputes arising between the Visitor and the Foundation Fund in connection with these Operating Rules, a visit to the House or the Premises or participation in an event organized by the Foundation Fund will be decided by the competent courts of the Czech Republic. The local jurisdiction of the court will be determined according to the registered office of the Foundation Fund, unless mandatory provisions of the applicable legislation provide otherwise.

4.7. These Operating Rules are effective as of 1 September 2026.
